2021 1.2 petrol 3008 no compression according to the garage
    Im seeking your advice
    My partner bought a 2021 3008 1.2 petrol.
She took it from the garage without it getting its first service, she bought it before we met and I would have advised her to have it service first, so it wasnt far off due a service. She drove it for about 8 months and eventually when it was 5000 k over due its service there was a massive oil leak and the auxiliary belt broke.
Last week we towed it to the local atlas garage for what i thought might be to find an oil leak and fix it and to put a new belt and battery in the car to be driven away today, but i got a call saying that theres no compression in the engine and that the car needs a new engine. We dont have a lot of money at all 28 grand is such a lot of money to throw away on a car we thought we would get our kids back and forth to school in at least until they were driving themselfs does anyone have any advice? is it as simple as he says? he also said atlas doesnt deal with stuff like that and maybe call someone to buy a new engine which would be 4500 euro and thats presumably with no labour

    Thank you for reading
