I replaced the complete clutch on my daughters 55 plate 1.4 hdi about 6 to 7k miles ago. No problems until the last couple of weeks. When releasing the clutch pedal (perfectly smoothly) to pull away from stationary in first the clutch begins to bite/engage and the vehicle begins to SMOOTHLY move forward but as the clutch pedal is further raised - again perfectly smoothly - the clutch fully engages with a sudden snatch causing the vehicle to lurch forward ( not dangerously quickly) much as you would see from a new learner driver who Kangaroos the car through letting the clutch out too quickly for the revs. There are no other clutch related problems of any kind at any time. Has any one experienced this over the years? Or has anyone got any educated thoughts. I am suspecting a master cylinder problem???? Look forward to any views you might have. Dave.
