206 central locking problem

Discussion in 'Peugeot 206' started by Andy \(The Fiddler\), Oct 7, 2004.

  1. Hi,

When using the remote or even the key (only tried driver side) both doors
and the boot locks pop back up as if the doors are open. (W Reg 18K
    mileage.)
Any way of diagnosing doors or boot lock actuator motor.
Have hear it could be Wiring Loom can this bee tested, i.e., continuity or
    high resistance?

Any Help would be appreciated as my local garage wants £200.00 to sort it.

This happens when one lock is not engaged / fully locked. Could be a
sticking actuator . Try a manual test of pushing down buttons on one door -
see if it locks and then try central locking.
    Work round the doors.
A good dose of WD40 can work wonders. Put some down the buttons and also the
    locks.
