206 cc will not start, even when the battery is fully charged.

    The car is just sitting in the drive, unused but periodically I run the engine and drive around the estate where I live, The car belongs to my girlfriend who has been bed ridden for two years, but still wants to keep the car.
    I fully charged the battery and used the remote on the key fob to open the doors which happened perfectly but
    when I turned the ignition key I just got a ticking sound, could someone please tell me what my options are?
