Guys, Hi there - I have a newish (4 months old) 206 Xsi and it has an intermittant, but getting more frequent 'whistling' noise from the air-con, which disappears when you turn it off. Sounds strange but it is noticable in the car as if it originates in the pipes ??? - any ideas. The car will be in soon for the 6 month / 6000 mile check so I will mention it then, but any feedback would be appreciated. Martin ps. I posted a while back about engine noise / electrical problems, 12+ visits to dealer. Well, after I wrote to the Peugeot UK Director, they agreed to replace the car, had to pay about £450 and start the finance from the beginning but I couldn't keep the old (also an Xsi) one as it had continous problems, so well done to Peugeot, shame it took so long, but credit where it is due. This one is better, apart from the air con, it has a noisy 3rd/4th gear (gear whine) but I am told by 3 dealers and the RAC that it is common, and to be fair it hasn't got worse.
