Can anybody tell me where the petrol gauge sensor is on a pug 205 right hand drive 1.6 auto.1991-92 i have looked all over the place and cant find it .the reason i ask is the fuel gauge light keeps coming on and i think its the sensor playing up.

Try looking under the back seat. My 405 of a similar age has a rubber
bung about 100mm diameter under the seat which you can remove to access
the sensor without having to drop the tank.
Might just be the same on the 205?

    Remove the carb???

The fact that the disc is there would suggest that some models would
    have it there.
The sender unit also has the flow and return fuel pipes on it so you
could grope around underneath, following the two pipes back to the tank.
Thats about all I can think of- short of reading the haynes manual in
    your local library?

i think i got to remove the carb to clean it all out as ido think the fuel is going back down the pipe thats why its hard to start after it has been running for 5-10 mins.it sounds like it is bypassing somthing and i got to try and find out what it is .or the float level is out and needs ajusting alittle.
