2002 406 estate 2l petrol

    Hi
    Was driving car along,and without warning all electrics stopped working,engine still running so got into safe place,all gauges had stuck at speed I was doing but no power to any electrics apart from seats,switch engine off and after that would not start,aa called checked fuses etc etc no water damage and feed going into ignition,baffled him so towed to garage.
    They tried fitting new fuse board no joy,then they gave up,now at Peugeot garage and they seem to be stumped say they have never seen this IE gauges sticking etc etc,say it might be body control unit,but want to check if any broken wires,again no water damage anywhere,can anyone help please
