1995 205/1.6 FI Auto/33k miles:- PetrolFumes

    At 40+ mph with drivers window Open, car gets petrol fumes.
    Local garage can detect no leaks or other cause. No underbonnet
    smells,either.
    Anybody help ??

    so at 40+ with window closed no smell?
    no smell ever under 40mph?

    Could be something simple such as an over rich mixture (are you running
    carbs?) - I sometimes got a waft of fumes from the carb when running the
    mixture too rich.

    Yes. No smell with window closed
