Does anyone know about the following two problems i have?
First, my front brakes wear in about 6 - 12 months, and i mean wear!
It especially happens on the drivers side, and it wears rite down to
    the plate!
Also, resently, i took the car for it's MOT and they said that the
wish bone bushes were worn to exsess, yet they look fine and nothing
was said at it's last service about 10 months ago. How can i check
    myself that they are worn?
    Help!?

the brake pads may wear unevenly because you have a partially siezed
caliper, so make sure the calipers are releasing correctly and the sliders
    are ok in the carriers,
secondly the wishbone bushes (front wishbone, rear bush) are common for wear
on these 106's. you have to unbolt them from under the carpet in the
footwells, to check for play or wear put a bar against the rear of the
wishbone and check for movement, it will move from left to right (looking
from the front or rear of the car) if there is play or wear there.
they are also press fitted to the wishbone themselves so may be difficult to
    remove without correct tools.

just to add on to Steve's comments that if you find the calipers are ok
check the linkage from pedal to servo isn't siezed,it usually siezes behind
    the servo
