I am experiencing poor radio reception on the AM band.
Is this normal for a 407, perhaps due to not having a stick aerial??

I've not noticed any problems apart from the usual poor sound quality
on AM. Maybe it depends on which station and where you are. I only
ever listen to 5 live on AM, and it is usually OK, even in places like
the Lake District, where I have problems with Classic FM.

You really can't compare AM and FM reception. The frequencies are very
different. FM is more likely to be blocked by large obstructions and has a
shorter range meaning that there are more FM than AM transmitters.

I agree - compared to Ford Falcon which I had previously, the AM sucks! I
will get it looked at in the first service.

Thanks Harry - I had it checked at my dealership when I returned the
vehicle for recall (X8P & X6N-7). I was told that Europe is not big on AM
radio so that would be why the reception is not so good.
Guess I'll have to contact Peugeot HQ and ask them.
Sorry about the delayed response - waited until I took the car in for the
    recall work.

For those of us not aware of a recall what and why was it recalled? Just
wondered if I should have heard anything.

    ? Sorry, confused, what two.
I can get the same as the AA website, one relating to fuel leakage on deisel
models (AA website) and another one relating to starter motors.

Not heard anything on either. I bought the car (1 year old) in November,
sounds like I ought to check. Hmm, 'intelligent servo control unit'? That
sounds like a computer sits somewhere between the starter motor and the
    ignition key.

  9. LaurieM gave two recall reference numbers - X8P & X6N-7 - that don't
seem to be in the vosa database.
