    Newbie here ex UK living in NZ. Been involved in motorsports for quite a while and have decided to build up a 306 for a new series here. I can only use a phase 1 up to 1995 (5 speed only allowed). I have an accident damaged GTI6 (1997) that I want to put into the phase 1 XSI and mate up to the 5speed box. Has anybody done this before ?. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    will be good to challenge all the Japanese models in this series
