Engine wont turn over

    Hi all,

    I have been having issues with a Peugeot 205 SR 1988 for the past month now, the starter motor packed up on me, so i replaced it with a new starter motor that's been tested and works.

    My problem is it doesn't seem to be turning the fly wheel despite everything i have tried,

    I have replaced the ignition switch, got advice from a local mechanic, and tested the starter motor by connecting a lead from the ignition connection on starter motor to the live on the battery.

    hi!
    when you say it does not turn . is it like its stuck? or it runs (starter) but engine does not turn
